Compact goto mount from iOptron, lightweight, easy to carry

The new iOptron SkyHunter EQ/AZ goto mount, fifteen years after the release of the innovative CubeTM AZ/EQ GoTo mount. With this, the SkyHunterTM takes the next step toward perfection. It is the lightest and most compact fully functional portable goto mount in iOptron‘s extraordinary history. Weighing only 1.32 kg, the SkyHunter TM can carry a payload of 5 kg. The mount is usable in both equatorial and azimuthal settings. Own weight includes rechargeable battery incorporated internally.

Multiple tracking speeds

The SkyHunterTM mount has four tracking speeds: 1X or sidereal, 1/2X for sky and landscape combined, sun and moon. All 4 tracking speeds work in both the northern and southern hemispheres.

WIFI support

The SkyHunterTM mount can be controlled by an iOS or Android smartphone/tablet, an optional 8410 handheld controller, or a computer via ASCOM and INDI. Through wifi, you connect to your smartphone or tablet. Through the available USB port, you can connect the PC to it for control and updating.

Combine with William Optics popular RedCat

This iOptron SkyHunter mount is excellent for combining with the William Optics RedCat 51 II.
The weight of the RedCat is only 2.2 kg and is very compact to carry. This makes this set the ideal travel companion for any astrophotographer.
