This ZWO ASI 178MC (color) 3096×2080 2.4 µm astronomy camera contains a ‘back illuminated’ 6.4 megapixel resolution Sony IMX178 image sensor. This 1/1.8″ CMOS sensor has an array of 3096*2080 pixels and a pixel size of 2.4 micrometers. With a 14-bit ADC, an extremely low read noise of 2.2e and superior sensitivity, the ZWO ASI178MC is an excellent camera for both astronomy and microscopy.
